FLIGHT ESSENTIALS
Lucky for you, I’ve got flying down to a science. Fun fact: I’m totally incapable of napping—unless I’m on a flight. It might just be my best talent. And yes, I fly economy.
This didn’t happen by accident. I’ve spent a lot of time researching and testing different products to make sure I’m as comfortable as possible during flights. Each item is linked for your convenience and saved on my Flight Essentials Amazon List!
01
Gravel Layover Travel Blanket
I love this blanket. The blanket is warm, yet lightweight and airy. You can snap the blanket around your neck to keep it in place while you sleep sitting up in economy. It also has pouches for your feet! The blanket is easy to fold back into its pouch, making it the perfect travel companion.
Amazon Dupe
This blanket also includes neck snaps and foot pockets at a more affordable price point!

Comrad Compression Socks
I waited far too long to jump on the compression sock train—silly me! They’re a game changer, especially after a trip full of sightseeing or hiking. I love my Comrad Compression Socks because they’re both functional and cute.
Amazon Dupe
Looking for something more affordable? These compression socks work great too!
Drowsy Silk Sleep Mask
Not all eye masks are created equal, and if you want to maximize your sleep, choose wisely. I splurged on this sleep mask during a Black Friday sale a couple of years ago, and I have zero regrets. It provides total blackout, is soft, lightweight, breathable, and has a velcro strap that does not snag your hair.
03
Amazon Dupe
I travel with this eye mask as well! It’s similar in design to the Drowsy mask, offering total blackout, softness, and lightweight comfort.
Neck Pillow
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect neck pillow, and I was starting to feel like I tried them all. Then, my amazing friend came along with a random Amazon find. I would explain to you why it works - but her TikTok review of it is much more entertaining.

Slippers
Hear me out: do you really want to wear sneakers for the entire flight? Especially on a red-eye? For the love of all things hygienic, please don’t go barefoot (even in First Class). Slip into a pair of cozy slippers at the gate before boarding—it’s a game changer.

Water
Stay hydrated, friends! I failed to follow my own advice on a 13-hour flight to Japan and regretted it the following day. Hydration is such a simple way to combat jet lag.
My toxic trait is purchasing bottled water at the airport but fun fact: I also manage a barre studio in Chicago, which means I’m up to date on all the water bottle trends!
What’s Hot rn:
Owala FreeSip Water Bottle
Not only is this water bottle a cutie, but it’s competitively priced, and truly does it all. You can sip it with the straw or take a gulp - all while being leak proof!
My Personal Favorite:
Corkcicle Sport Canteen
I personally don't love straws! The design is slim, easy to carry, fits in your backpack, and is easy to clean. I’m very loyal to my Corkcicle Sport Canteen. I need to start bringing it to the airport with me!

Noise Canceling Headphones
Noise canceling headphones are a great choice for long flights. I mostly wear mine while sleeping, with static noise in the background to help me doze off.
Bose Noise Canceling Headphones
I’ve had mine for 6 years, and they’re fantastic. Now they even come in fun colors—I love the purple!
Apple Noise Canceling Headphones
A great option for Apple fans! If I didn’t already trust my Bose, I’d probably splurge on these.
Portable Charger
We own a few of these, not because they break, but because apparently we need to store one in each bag *just in case*. This charging bank is small and lightweight, capable of charging three devices at once and provides up to three full charges before needing to be recharged itself. It’s a lifesaver when you get the seat with the broken outlet.

Skincare Essentials
Flying can wreak havoc on your skin, so I always pack these hydration heroes:
PCA Skin Hyaluronic Lip Boost
Pricey but worth it. It’s my go-to for flights, Chicago winters, and dry climates.
Laneige Lip Mask
Affordable and effective. I use it before sleeping on long flights.
PCA Skin Hyaluronic Sleep Mask
Perfect for keeping skin hydrated. I prefer this over sheet masks while flying and also use it during the winter at home.
Tower 28 SOS Spray
Shoutout to my bestie for this rec! This product is specifically formulated to soothe and purify your skin, making it a travel essential. I used it on my recent trip to Iceland, and my skin was thriving when I stepped off the plane!
SPF
Want to look 50 when you’re 80? Avoid melanoma? The most important ingredient to accomplishing this is SPF. UVA rays can penetrate through the plane, causing damage to your skin. The Elta MD sunscreen is my daily go-to. I’ve included another great option from CeraVe on my Amazon list as well!
Moon Juice Magnesi-om
I’ve tried a few Moon Juice products and loved the results every time! Their magnesium packs are perfect for flights—supporting relaxation, promoting sleep, and keeping you hydrated. A win-win!
