While I can freely admit I spent a few too many days in this city, it doesn’t change the fact that I absolutely adored it.
Panama City is a jewel by the sea. Almost literally. As you drive up from the airport, the glistening from the sea and the glinting windows of the skyscrapers play off each other so well. To see these ultra-modern buildings next to huts with tin roofs is quite the dichotomy.
For my time in Panama City, I chose to stay in Casco Viejo and would absolutely recommend the same to others. Much like any other Old Town, it is a perfect blend of history and culture and absolutely full of fun activities and even more full of delicious places to eat!
If you’re spending any time in Panama, it will be next to impossible to avoid spending time in Panama City but I assure you that you won’t want to miss it!
Before booking your trip, make sure to book your flights with my favorite platform: Kiwi! (I booked my Panama and Costa Rica flights for just over $300 thanks to them!)
